Domaine Tempier Bandol 'Lulu & Lucien' 2023

Domaine Tempier Bandol 'Lulu & Lucien' is a traditional Bandol red named in honour of the estate's founders, blending Mourvèdre with Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan grown on the steep terraced hillsides above the Provençal coast.

Bandol is the spiritual home of Mourvèdre, its amphitheatre of terraced vineyards facing the Mediterranean and its restanques of clay-limestone soil giving the variety the warmth and drainage it needs to ripen fully. Domaine Tempier, founded in the 1940s by Lucien and Lucie "Lulu" Peyraud, played a defining role in restoring Bandol's reputation and remains one of the appellation's benchmark estates, farming its vineyards organically across several distinct parcels around the village.

This cuvée offers an accessible, food-loving introduction to the estate's style - a supple, savoury red suited to grilled meats and Provençal cooking.
