Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé 2025

Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé is a firm, Mourvèdre-led rosé from the limestone slopes of the Plan du Castellet, within sight of the Mediterranean.

The property dates to 1834 and has been in Peyraud hands since 1936; Lucien and Lulu Peyraud did much of the work that won Bandol its appellation and put Mourvèdre at the centre of it. Daniel Ravier now looks after 38 certified organic hectares, split across parcels between the water and the steep hills behind. Older vines supply the fruit, which is taken by saignée and direct pressing, fermented on native yeast and left a short while on fine lees.

White peach, wild strawberry and grapefruit skin come through first, with thyme and sea spray behind and enough structure to sit beside a main course. Pour it at 10–12°C with bouillabaisse, grilled lamb cutlets or a platter built around aïoli.
