Domaine Vincent Dancer Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot comes from a plot in La Grande Bourne planted in 2013 at 20,000 vines per hectare.

Morgeot is the largest premier cru in Chassagne-Montrachet, a broad expanse at the southern end of the commune subdivided into many named lieux-dits of differing character. Dancer's parcel lies in the section historically known as La Grande Bourne, right on the Santenay border and low enough on the slope to carry more clay in the profile than his other Morgeot holding at Tête du Clos. The rock beneath is hard limestone and the vines are planted at very high density, which restricts the crop each one carries and yields small, concentrated bunches. This is only the third release of the wine, the planting dating from 2013. Handling follows the domaine's standard: hand-picking, whole-bunch pressing, natural fermentation and maturation in older barrels, with the balance tilted towards freshness and precision rather than weight.

Best from three years and through the following decade. Serve at 10-12°C with roast turbot, lobster or a mature hard cheese.
