Domaine Vincent Dancer Meursault Les Corbins 2023

Les Corbins is a rocky Meursault lieu-dit on the Volnay side of the village, where Dancer's vines were planted in 1986.

Meursault sits between Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet, and its village vineyards shift in character across the commune. Les Corbins lies towards the Volnay end, a rocky site with deeper clay in the soil profile than the ground beneath Chassagne, and that clay consistently brings more flesh, depth and complexity to the wine. Vincent Dancer planted here in 1986. As across the range, the fruit is picked at modest yields and handled simply in the cellar: natural fermentation, minimal new oak and extended ageing on lees, with the aim of showing what separates one parcel from the next rather than imposing a house flavour. It is a fuller, rounder counterpoint to the domaine's Grands Charrons.

Ready after a year or two and good for eight to ten. Serve at 10-12°C with roast pork, chicken in cream sauce or a soft washed-rind cheese.
