Domaine Vincent Dancer Meursault Les Grands Charrons 2020

This village Meursault comes from 0.29 hectares of vines planted in 1959 in the lieu-dit Les Grands Charrons.

Les Grands Charrons lies on the upper ground at the northern end of Meursault, on calcareous clay, and tends to give a fresher, more clearly defined wine than the appellation's reputation for weight suggests. The vines on this parcel of just under three tenths of a hectare are among the oldest the domaine farms. Vincent Dancer, an engineer by training, took over family parcels in 1996 at twenty-two and built his cellar the year after; the domaine runs to around six hectares across Chassagne, Puligny, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune, and his son Théo now handles the day-to-day. In the cellar there is spontaneous fermentation with no additions, no bâtonnage, used barrels with little or no new wood, and bottling without fining or filtration.

Drink from two years and over the following six or seven. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, grilled fish or a young Comté.
