Domaine Vincent Girardin Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes is a refined old-vine Chardonnay from the southern reaches of Burgundy, prized for its purity and mineral-edged fruit.

Pouilly-Fuissé lies in the Mâconnais, Burgundy's warmer, more southerly sub-region, where limestone and clay soils give the local Chardonnay real depth and structure. Domaine Vincent Girardin, based in Meursault in the Côte de Beaune, is one of Burgundy's most respected white wine houses, recognised for meticulous vineyard sourcing, hand-harvesting and a gentle, precise approach in the cellar that lets each site express its own character. The estate's old-vine (“Vieilles Vignes”) bottlings draw on mature plantings that yield smaller, more concentrated crops, adding an extra layer of intensity to the wine.

A polished, food-friendly white, it suits everything from grilled fish and shellfish to roast chicken and creamy cheeses, and is equally enjoyable on its own.
