Domaine Vincent Latour Meursault Les Narvaux 2021

Domaine Vincent Latour Meursault Les Narvaux is a white Burgundy from one of Meursault's best known village vineyards, sitting high on the slope above the premier crus of Genevrieres and Charmes.

Les Narvaux is a lieu-dit rather than a premier cru, but its position near the top of the hillside, on thin soils over limestone, has long given it a reputation as one of the village sites in Meursault worth bottling on its own. Meursault itself is the largest white wine commune of the Cote de Beaune and made its name with Chardonnay fermented and matured in oak casks. Domaine Vincent Latour works from the village, where Vincent Latour took over the family holdings in the mid 2000s, hand picking and whole bunch pressing the fruit and ageing the wine in barrel with a measured hand on new wood.

Serve at around 12 degrees with white fish, poultry or a soft washed rind cheese; it is approachable young and repays a few years in the cellar.
