Domaine Yves Cuilleron Condrieu 'Le Petit Côte' Viognier 2025

Domaine Yves Cuilleron Condrieu 'Le Petit Côte' Viognier is a rich, dry Viognier from younger terraced vines in the northern Rhône.

Decomposed granite, known locally as arzelle, covers the steep south-facing slopes above the river, and this low-yielding grape has to reach full ripeness there before it shows its best. It is the world's benchmark address for the variety. The family vines at Chavanay passed to Yves Cuilleron in the mid-1980s, and he has grown the estate into one of the largest and most consistent in the region, farmed sustainably. The fruit here is fermented in barrel and aged on lees with little new oak.

Silky and full, with apricot, white flowers and a broad, dry finish. Serve at 10–12°C with roast chicken, scallops, pork belly or a gently spiced curry.
