Domaine Yves Cuilleron Saint Joseph 'Lieu-Dit Digue' Roussanne 2025

Domaine Yves Cuilleron Saint Joseph 'Lieu-Dit Digue' is a medium-bodied, single-parcel Roussanne from the northern Rhône.

Syrah dominates this long right-bank appellation, and only a small share is given to Marsanne and Roussanne. Working steep granite terraces from his Chavanay base, Cuilleron bottles a long list of single-site wines, and this Roussanne plot is one. Hand-picked grapes are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in barrel with wild yeasts, then spend several months on fine lees with a little new wood, the malolactic managed to keep acidity in place.

Pear and white flowers give weight, and the finish is dry, nutty and a little salty. Good at 10–12°C with roast pork, poultry, soft cheese or white fish grilled in butter.
