Domaine Yves Cuilleron Saint Joseph 'Lyséras' Marsanne Roussanne is a dry, Marsanne-led white from the granite slopes opposite Hermitage.

The steepest, best sites of the appellation lie at its northern end around Chavanay and Tournon. White wine makes up only a small part of the output and must come from these two grapes; here the first leads for body and stone-fruit breadth, with the second adding lift and tension. The terraced parcels are hand-harvested, partly barrel-fermented and matured on fine lees in French oak, little of it new, so texture builds without obvious wood.

Quietly rich and dry, with stone-fruit flesh, a mineral spine and a long, savoury finish. Pour at 10–12°C with roast poultry, pork belly, grilled fish or a firm washed-rind cheese.
