Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes Les Impénitents comes from the oldest vines on the Côte du Py.

Impénitents means the unrepentant. The wine is made from the domaine's oldest Gamay on the volcanic schist of the Côte du Py, vines that give tiny crops and a wine with the structure to age for a decade or more, which is not what most people expect of Beaujolais. The family has farmed at Morgon since 1712.

Decant lightly and serve at 16 degrees with duck, game or roast beef. It rewards twelve years.
