Description

Domaines Schlumberger Riesling Grands Crus Kitterlé is a dry white from one of the steepest vineyards in Alsace.

Kitterlé is a Grand Cru of volcanic sandstone laid out on a south-facing fan of terraces above Guebwiller, so steep that the rows are worked by hand and winch. Alsace sits in the rain shadow of the Vosges mountains and is among the driest regions in France. Schlumberger farms around a hundred and forty hectares biodynamically here, holding large parts of four Grands Crus.

Serve at 10 degrees with trout, choucroute or roast pork. It develops over a decade.
