Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Riesling Forst 1.5L MAGNUM 2022

Bürklin-Wolf Riesling Forst is the estate's dry village wine from Forst, including young vines from its Grand Cru parcels, here in magnum.

Forst is the most celebrated commune of the Mittelhaardt, known for the black basalt quarried above the village and spread through its vineyards, which holds heat and gives the Rieslings a distinctive density. Dr. Bürklin-Wolf, at Wachenheim since 1597 and farmed biodynamically with Demeter certification, holds parcels in the leading Forst sites and classifies its range by vineyard in the Burgundian manner. This village bottling draws on holdings across the commune and includes fruit from young vines in the Grand Cru sites of Kirchenstück and Pechstein, which lifts it above a standard village wine. It is fermented dry and matured in stainless steel and large wood.

Dry, concentrated and mineral in feel, it suits richer fish, roast pork, veal and mature hard cheese; serve at around 10 to 12 degrees.
