Dry River Craighall Riesling 2023

Dry River Craighall Riesling is a pure, aromatic Martinborough Riesling with a gentle touch of sweetness.

The fruit comes from the Craighall vineyard, one of the sites behind Dry River's wines on Martinborough's free-draining alluvial gravels. In 2023, rain and mild summer temperatures suited Riesling, and the winery describes striking purity and aromatics that build with air and warmth in the glass. The palate combines a linear thread of acidity with texture from ripe phenolics and balanced residual sugar, keeping it fresh and long. Like most Dry River whites it is made to age, with the winery suggesting up to ten years of development.

A lightly chilled glass is lovely on its own, and it pairs well with Vietnamese rice paper rolls, crab, soft cheeses or lightly spiced chicken. Aim for 8 to 10 degrees.
