Dry River Lovat Gewürztraminer 2022

Dry River Lovat Gewürztraminer is an aromatic white from the Lovat vineyard in Martinborough, at the southern tip of New Zealand's North Island.

Dry River is a small estate founded in 1979 and one of the few New Zealand producers with a long track record for serious Gewürztraminer. Martinborough's dry autumns and cool nights let the grape ripen slowly and hold freshness, while the stony terrace soils keep yields low. The variety is known for its perfume of rose petal, lychee and spice, and for a naturally rich, rounded texture.

Serve chilled, around 8 to 10 degrees, alongside Moroccan tagines, Thai or Indian curries, or washed-rind cheese. It should also age well for several years.
