Dry River Pinot Gris 2023

Dry River Pinot Gris is a layered, age-worthy Pinot Gris from Martinborough's stony river terraces.

From the cooler 2023 season, this vintage has a more restrained and elegant profile, with moderate alcohol and a careful balance between acidity and a little residual sweetness. The estate has made Pinot Gris since its early years and treats it as a serious, cellar-worthy wine, relying on small crops from its own vines. Ripe skins add texture and length, and the wine carries its concentration on a long, slender frame. The winery expects it to keep improving for a further ten years.

Enjoy it now slightly chilled or put a few bottles away. Good matches include poached chicken, pork and fennel, mild curries and soft cheeses, with 10 to 12 degrees the ideal serving temperature.
