Dry River Pinot Noir 1.5L MAGNUM 2022

Dry River Pinot Noir 1.5L Magnum is the 2022 release of this celebrated Martinborough Pinot Noir in a large format suited to long cellaring.

For decades Dry River has been a reference point for New Zealand Pinot Noir, favouring small crops, careful vineyard work and wines built to age. The site's gravels, the Wairarapa's dry autumns and its strong winds all help concentrate the fruit. This 2022 shows red-toned perfume with plum, spice and light oak, and bright acidity underpinning a firm structure. A magnum ages more slowly and gracefully than a standard bottle, so this is one to lay down for a special occasion.

Stand the bottle upright the day before, decant carefully and serve at around 16 degrees. A big bottle like this is made for a table of friends and a roast leg of lamb, a whole duck or a game pie.
