Earthworks Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth, generous Barossa red with dark fruit and gentle oak.

Earthworks is a Barossa label from the Hill-Smith family, the long-established wine family behind Yalumba in Angaston. The wines are made to show the region's warm, generous fruit at an approachable price. Cabernet Sauvignon in the Barossa tends to be riper and rounder than in cooler regions, with dark cherry and currant fruit. The supplier notes mocha and baking spice on the nose, a subtle touch of oak and a hint of sage, with elegant tannins and a smooth texture on the palate.

Made for the barbecue, it goes well with steak, lamb chops, beef burgers or a mushroom pie, served at around 16 to 18 degrees. It is ready to drink now and will hold for a few years.
