Description

Empire of Dirt Going Like Elsie Pinot Noir is a perfumed, gently structured Pinot Noir from Geelong, south-west of Melbourne.

Across the Moorabool Valley, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast, low rainfall and strong winds keep crops small, and the fruit comes in fragrant and fine-boned. The variety has become a regional signature since replanting began in the 1960s. The people behind it run a small label with plenty of personality, which shows in the names and the packaging.

Lifted perfume and gentle tannins. At 14–16°C it's great with roast duck, salmon, charcuterie or mushroom dishes, and it will keep for a few years if you're patient.
