Empire of Dirt Lyra Chardonnay 2022

Empire of Dirt Lyra Chardonnay is a fresh, textured Chardonnay from the Geelong region of Victoria.

This is one of the region's strongest grapes, and cold ocean breezes give it fine natural acidity and a tight, mineral line. The vineyards cope with low rainfall and strong winds, on soils ranging from volcanic basalt to limestone and clay. It comes from a small label that likes bold names and packaging.

Medium-bodied, with good acidity and texture. Serve at 10–12°C with roast chicken, scallops, crab or soft washed-rind cheeses, and drink it young while it's at its freshest.
