Description

Empire of Dirt VENOM Cloudy Sparkling is an unfiltered sparkling wine from Geelong, left hazy with its lees.

Instead of being finely filtered or disgorged like a clear sparkling, this one goes out with some lees still in the bottle. That's where the haze and the extra texture come from. The grapes are grown on soils that range from volcanic basalt to limestone and clay, in a region of low rainfall and strong winds.

Ice-cold, around 6–8°C, it makes a lively aperitif, and it's good with oysters, fried snacks, charcuterie and soft cheeses. A gentle turn of the bottle before opening spreads the sediment.
