Equipo Navazos La Bota 113 Manzanilla Navazos

Equipo Navazos La Bota 113 Manzanilla Navazos is an en rama manzanilla bottled from a small group of old casks at an average age of about seven years.

Manzanilla is simply fino made in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where cooler, more humid Atlantic air keeps the veil of flor thick and active through the year and the wine finishes finer and more saline than its Jerez counterpart. This is the tenth release of La Bota de Manzanilla and comes from Palomino grown at Las Cañas, in the pagos of Balbaína and Las Tablas, and at La Soledad in pago El Cuadro. It was drawn from a couple of dozen toneles of 750 litres and standard botas that Eduardo Ojeda and his team have looked after for more than twelve years, allowing a complexity well beyond commercial manzanilla. Like every La Bota, it is bottled en rama, without the aggressive filtration that leaves most manzanilla water-clear, so it arrives pale and golden. Saca of June 2022.

Drink it within a few days of opening and keep it cold, at around 8–10°C. Roast chicken, grilled prawns or a plate of pork sausage suit it well.
