Ester Dry Gin 100ml

Ester Dry Gin is a Sydney dry gin, here in a 100ml bottle.

A small bottle of a gin worth knowing. The recipe starts from a clean, juniper-forward London Dry profile and then adds a savoury citrus streak and a set of locally grown botanicals: finger lime, lemon myrtle, macadamia, sweet mandarin peel and pepperberry alongside the usual juniper, cardamom, coriander, orris, angelica, liquorice, clove and cassia. Everything is distilled together in one pass, and the spirit is bottled unfiltered at 43 per cent, which is high enough to carry the botanicals through ice and tonic without tasting hot on its own.

One hundred millilitres is two solid drinks, enough to see whether this becomes your house gin. Spicy and dry with soft citrus, it takes tonic well and makes a properly cold Martini. Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it neat if you want to taste it plainly.
