Famille Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic 2024

Famille Hugel Gewürztraminer Classic is an aromatic, spicy Alsace white and one of the house's signature wines.

The Hugel family has made wine in the medieval village of Riquewihr since 1639 and is one of the best-known names in Alsace. Classic is the house's core range, drawing on the family's own vineyards and fruit from long-standing growers in the villages around Riquewihr. Gewürztraminer is the grape many drinkers associate most with Alsace, with its perfume of rose, lychee and spice and its naturally full texture. Hugel makes it in a balanced, food-friendly style, aromatic and extroverted with floral and spicy notes to the fore.

Serve chilled, around 8 to 10 degrees. Classic pairings include Munster cheese and foie gras, and it is equally good with spicy Asian food such as Thai curries or Peking duck.
