Fat Bastard Malbec 2025

Fat Bastard Malbec comes from Mendoza, the high desert region at the foot of the Andes.

Malbec came to Argentina from Cahors in south-west France in the nineteenth century and found conditions that suited it far better: high altitude, intense sunlight and almost no rain, with irrigation from Andean snowmelt. The result is deeply coloured and softer in tannin than its French original. The wine is matured briefly in oak.

Serve at 17 degrees with grilled beef, lamb or a spiced stew. Drink within five years.
