Fervor Edward Syrah 2021

Fervor Edward Syrah is a Great Southern Syrah from Western Australia and the top red in the Fervor range.

Frankland River and Mount Barker are known for reds with firm, fine tannins that age well. Shiraz leads the region's plantings, and local makers often call it Syrah to flag a cooler, peppery, savoury style, a long way from warm South Australian Shiraz. This is the more serious bottling, worth decanting or tucking away for a few years.

Savoury and structured, with spice, fine tannins and good length. Decant, then serve at 16–18°C with slow-roasted lamb, beef cheeks or aged hard cheese. Drink now or over the next few years.
