Description

Fervor Nonno Lou Sangiovese is a Western Australian take on Tuscany's great red grape, grown in the Great Southern.

This is the grape of Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. It needs a long, moderate season to ripen its tannins and keep its bright acid, which the region can supply, though plantings in Western Australia are still few. The name is a companion to the Nonna Diana Fiano and a nod to the variety's Italian roots.

Savoury and mid-weight, with firm tannins and fresh acid that love food. Serve at 15–17°C with tomato-based pasta, pizza, bistecca or hard cheeses. Drink now or over the next few years.
