Flechas de Los Andes Punta Malbec 2024

Flechas de Los Andes Punta Malbec is a supple, medium-bodied Malbec from the high-altitude Uco Valley in Mendoza.

South-west of Mendoza city, right under the Andes, vines are planted between roughly 900 and 1,500 metres, the highest and coolest of the province's main growing areas. Strong sun by day and cold nights slow ripening, so the grapes keep their colour, acidity and fine tannin without getting heavy. The estate was set up by French owners with Bordeaux backgrounds, and it shows: moderate alcohol, restrained oak, attention to structure. This entry-level bottling is fermented in steel and given only a short maturation.

Juicy and bright, with dark plum, berries, soft tannin and a savoury edge. Serve at 16–18°C with grilled steak, lamb skewers, burgers or empanadas.
