Fontodi Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 375ml 2015

Fontodi Vin Santo del Chianti Classico is a traditional Tuscan dessert wine from the Chianti Classico zone, made in the historic passito style.

Fontodi is a family-owned estate in Panzano in Chianti, farmed by the Manetti family, who are widely regarded as one of the leading producers in the Chianti Classico region and farm organically across their amphitheatre-shaped Conca d'Oro vineyard. In keeping with local tradition, the estate's white grapes are hand-selected and dried on straw mats over the winter months to concentrate their sugars, then pressed and aged for years in small barrels known as caratelli in the estate's attic, where seasonal temperature swings shape the wine's character.

It is a rich, honeyed dessert wine, traditionally served with Tuscan biscotti for dipping, or alongside aged cheese.
