Forest Hill Vineyard Block 2 Riesling 2026

Forest Hill Vineyard Block 2 Riesling is a textural, mineral Riesling drawn from one block of Forest Hill's Mount Barker vineyard.

Mount Barker, in the heart of the Great Southern, has built a strong reputation for long-lived Riesling, and Forest Hill was one of the first to plant the grape there. By keeping Block 2 separate, the winery captures the character of a single parcel of vines on its estate. This young 2026 shows lime, jasmine, almond blossom, sweet Meyer lemon and chalk aromas. The palate begins with a slippery texture and fruit sweetness before tightening into a focused line of stony minerality, with citrus and red apple flavours and a pithy finish.

Drink it young and crisp, or cellar it and watch it build toasty complexity. Serve at around 8 degrees with sashimi, crab cakes or a Thai-style salad.
