Forest Hill Vineyard Estate Riesling 2026

Forest Hill Vineyard Estate Riesling is a bright, floral Riesling from Mount Barker, one of Australia's most respected Riesling districts.

When Forest Hill planted its first vines at Mount Barker in the 1960s, Riesling was part of the mix, and the variety has helped define the Great Southern ever since. The Estate Riesling is made from the company's own vineyard, where cool nights and gravelly soils give fine natural acidity and a chalky, mineral edge. The 2026 opens with white flowers, blossom, sweet citrus and talc, followed by a moreish palate of sweet lime, red apple, citrus zest and crushed stone.

Serve it crisp and cold with fish tacos, grilled prawns, sushi or a goat's cheese tart. Good Great Southern Riesling ages well, so a bottle or two in the cellar will be rewarded.
