Forest Hill Vineyard Highbury Fields Shiraz is a plush, easy-drinking cool-climate Shiraz from Western Australia.

Great Southern Shiraz sits somewhere between the peppery style of the northern Rhône and the richer wines of South Australia, with bramble fruit, spice and fine tannins. Forest Hill, which planted one of the region's first vineyards at Mount Barker in the 1960s, uses its Highbury Fields label for wines that are ready to open now. The 2023 is deep purple with a bright hue, showing bramble fruits, spiced plums and dried herbs, and a plush palate of blackberry and salted plum over fine, coating tannins.

This is an easy match for a burger, lamb souvlaki, a meat-lover's pizza or a cheese platter. Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees.
