Forest Hill Vineyard Highbury Fields Shiraz is a medium-weight, spicy cool-climate Shiraz from Western Australia.

In the Great Southern, Shiraz takes on a peppery, more savoury profile than in warmer Australian regions, with red and black fruit sitting alongside spice and dried herbs. Forest Hill has grown grapes in this corner of the state since the 1960s, and the Highbury Fields wines are its everyday range, made to be approachable from release. This 2024 shows plum, baking spice and dried herb aromas, with a plush palate of liquorice, spice and red berries and a graphite line of tannin.

Try it slightly cooler than room temperature, around 16 degrees, alongside pizza, pork sausages, lamb kofta or charcuterie.
