Freemark Abbey Bosche Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Freemark Abbey Bosché is a single-vineyard Cabernet from Rutherford, made since 1970.

The Bosché vineyard sits on the western side of Rutherford, in the band of gravelly alluvial soil that gives Napa Cabernet the dusty tannin growers call Rutherford dust. Freemark Abbey has bottled it separately since 1970, one of the earliest single-vineyard Cabernets in California. The winery itself dates to 1886, when Josephine Tychson founded it.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with aged beef, venison or hard cheese. It rewards twenty years.
