Freycinet Riesling 2025

Freycinet Riesling is a crisp, floral Tasmanian Riesling from one of the longest-established vineyards on the island's east coast.

Riesling thrives in Tasmania's cool, long growing season, and the east coast, with its sunny days and cool nights, gives it both ripeness and bright natural acidity. The Bull family have tended vines here for close to five decades, and their Riesling is a consistent highlight of the range. The 2025 opens with a fragrant spring-blossom nose, then lime, crisp green apple, grapefruit and white nectarine on the palate, finishing with a hint of spice and a refreshing mineral snap. Sealed under screw cap, it will also reward a few years of patience.

Serve well chilled with seafood, especially freshly shucked oysters. It also works with Vietnamese salads, grilled prawns or a Thai-style fish curry.
