Description
Fringe Société Rosé is a dry, pale rosé from the Languedoc in southern France.
Southern France produces most of the world's dry rosé, and the Languedoc version is built on Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah picked early and pressed straight away, which keeps the colour light and the finish savoury rather than sweet. The region runs along the Mediterranean from the Rhône delta to the Spanish border and is the largest vineyard area in France, which is why it can make wine of this style at a price the fashionable appellations to the east cannot. Fermentation is cool in stainless steel and the wine is bottled young with no oak.
Serve cold at 8 to 9 degrees with salads, grilled fish, charcuterie or a summer lunch. Drink within two years.
