Fromm Pinot Noir 2023

Fromm Pinot Noir is the winery's Marlborough estate blend, a fragrant and savoury Pinot Noir with immediate appeal.

Each year this wine is assembled from the winery's organically farmed Pinot Noir vineyards across Marlborough, with the make-up shifting according to what the vintage delivers. Fromm has specialised in Pinot Noir since 1992, when few Marlborough producers were taking red wine seriously, and this blend gives a clear view of the house style without the price of the single-vineyard bottlings. The 2023 is open and expressive with wild strawberry and autumnal bramble fruit, then loganberry, rosehip and goji berry on the palate, firm but fine tannins, a savoury, forest-floor edge and a fresh line of acidity.

Pour at around 15 to 16 degrees. Roast pork, salmon, mushroom risotto or a duck and cherry salad are all good matches.
