Fromm Pinot Noir The Curation is a considered selection of the best Pinot Noir from Fromm's Marlborough vineyards, and the estate's flagship red.

Most of the winery's Pinot Noirs are bottled vineyard by vineyard, but this cuvée brings the strongest parcels together, and its composition changes from one vintage to the next. Georg Fromm, who came from a Swiss winemaking family, started the business in 1992 with the idea of making age-worthy reds in Marlborough, and that ambition shows clearly here. Organic fruit, harvested by hand, underpins it. The 2021 is ripe, elegant and floral with dark raspberry, plum and subtle spice, a concentrated, medium-weight palate with plenty of energy, and a firm, serious finish full of tension.

Give it air and serve around 16 to 17 degrees. Think slow-roasted lamb, pheasant, a mushroom Wellington or hard sheep's milk cheeses. It will keep building complexity with time in the cellar.
