Fromm Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Fromm Vineyard Pinot Noir is a refined, understated single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the home block that launched Fromm in Marlborough.

The home vineyard has been at the heart of the winery since its early years and remains central to its identity. Its wines tend to combine concentrated flavour with a savoury, terroir-driven character, and they cellar beautifully. Organic certification and hand harvesting are standard across all of Fromm's sites. The 2021, from an excellent vintage, is a transparent dark red with red and blue fruit aromas, a fine floral lift and subtle forest floor notes, then delicate minerality, an inner perfume, red cherry and earthy spice, all carried by very fine tannins.

Serve at around 15 to 17 degrees, with a short decant while it is young. It suits roast chicken with thyme, duck, lamb cutlets or mushroom ragout, and will age gracefully for many years.
