Description
Description
Ghost Rock Zoe Brut Rosé is a Tasmanian sparkling rosé made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Ghost Rock is a family-owned estate near Port Sorell on Tasmania's north coast, run by the Arnold family, with Justin Arnold as winemaker. Tasmania's cool maritime climate makes it Australia's leading region for traditional sparkling wine, as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir ripen slowly and keep the high natural acidity that fine sparkling wine depends on. The Zoe Brut Rosé is a blend of 56 percent Chardonnay and 44 percent Pinot Noir, given its colour by the Pinot Noir. After the second fermentation it rests for 12 months on lees, which adds texture and a fine bead while keeping the wine fresh and bright.
Crisp and lively, it is a natural aperitif and suits smoked salmon, prawns and summer salads; serve well chilled at around 6 to 8 degrees.
