Giant Steps Circle of Fifths Chardonnay 2025

Giant Steps Circle of Fifths Chardonnay is a blend drawn across the winery's Yarra Valley vineyards.

The name is a musical term, in keeping with a winery named after a John Coltrane record, and the wine is assembled from parcels in both the Upper and Lower Yarra rather than tied to one site. The Yarra's range of altitudes and aspects means Chardonnay picked across the valley covers a spread of ripeness, which is the point of the blend. Whole-bunch pressing, wild fermentation in barrel and lees ageing follow the house method.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, pork or a soft cheese. Drink over the next five years.
