Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024

Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Pinot Noir is grown on the winery's home block at Gruyere.

The vineyard sits on the Lower Yarra floor, warmer than the Upper Yarra sites, which brings Pinot Noir to a fuller, darker-fruited expression while the valley's diurnal range holds the structure together. Planted in 1997, it supplies both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bottlings under the Sexton name. Fruit is hand-picked, fermented with whole bunches and native yeast, then matured in French oak.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, lamb or a mushroom ragù. It will develop over eight years.
