Giant Steps Tarraford Vineyard Chardonnay 2024

Giant Steps Tarraford Vineyard Chardonnay comes from an old planting at Yarra Glen.

Tarraford was planted in 1983 on the north side of the valley near Yarra Glen, and older vines on its grey loam soils give a wine of finer detail and lower yield than younger sites. It is one of the three vineyards the winery has bottled separately for years. Whole-bunch pressed, fermented with wild yeast in French oak and matured on lees, with new wood kept to a minimum.

Serve at 12 degrees with fish, roast chicken or a soft rind cheese. It rewards eight to ten years.
