Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir blends fruit from the winery's sites across the Upper and Lower Yarra.

The Yarra Valley's Pinot Noir plantings run from the warmer valley floor near Gruyere to cool high ground at Gladysdale, and blending across that range gives a wine with both fruit weight and acidity. Giant Steps was founded in 1997 by Phil Sexton and has grown into one of the valley's reference producers. Fruit is hand-picked, fermented with native yeast and a portion of whole bunches, and matured in French oak, largely seasoned.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, pork or a mushroom risotto. Drink over the next six years.
