Description
Description
Giovanni Rosso Roero Arneis is a dry white from the sandy hills north of Alba.
Arneis had almost disappeared by the 1960s, surviving in odd rows planted among Nebbiolo to distract birds from the more valuable grapes, which is how it earned its name, meaning little rascal in Piedmontese. The sandy soils of Roero, on the left bank of the Tanaro, suit it. The wine is fermented cool in stainless steel without oak.
Serve at 10 degrees with antipasti, seafood or fresh cheeses. Drink within three years.
