Description

Glenguin Estate Aristea Shiraz is the flagship red of a family-owned Hunter Valley estate in Broke Fordwich, released with some bottle age.

Robin Tedder MW has long led the winemaking at the Tedder family's vineyard, on the western side of the valley near the Wollombi Brook. This is their top selection, made to show the depth and structure the region can give in a good year. Hunter reds are medium-bodied, earthy and savoury, with fine tannins and a proven ability to age for decades.

Savoury and medium-bodied, with fine tannins and good length, and now picking up secondary character. Pour at 16–18°C with roast lamb, beef fillet or mushroom dishes.
