Glenguin Estate Semillon 2023

Glenguin Estate Semillon is a light, dry Hunter Valley white made in the classic unoaked style at Broke Fordwich.

Picking happens early, ahead of the summer rain, while sugar levels are still modest. The juice is fermented in stainless steel and bottled young, which gives a low-alcohol white with crisp acidity. It's one of Australia's truly original styles, fresh on release and slowly turning toasty and honeyed with time in bottle. The vineyard belongs to the Tedder family, near the Wollombi Brook.

Light, crisp and dry, with citrus freshness and a long, fine finish. Try it at 7–9°C with oysters, grilled whiting, Vietnamese salads or goat's cheese.
