Glenguin Estate Vineyard Shiraz 2019

Glenguin Estate Vineyard Shiraz is a traditional, medium-bodied Hunter Valley red from the Tedder family's own vines at Broke Fordwich.

Australia's oldest continuously producing wine region is a warm, humid valley north-west of Newcastle, where summer rain and afternoon cloud make for a lighter style. Reds here are earthy and savoury more than big and ripe, and they age well. This one sits just below the flagship in the range, and several years in bottle have brought out gentle, savoury development.

Earthy, with soft tannins and savoury notes starting to come through. Have it now or over the next few years, at 16–18°C, with roast lamb, beef casserole or hard cheeses.
