Grosset Apiana Fiano 2025

Grosset Apiana is a Clare Valley white built on Fiano, the southern Italian variety, with a portion of Semillon.

Fiano comes from Campania and holds acidity in heat, which is why it has been planted in Australian regions facing warmer seasons. Apiana takes its name from apianae, the Roman term for the grape, said to describe how it attracted bees. Grosset planted it on the organically farmed Watervale vineyard, and part of the wine is fermented on skins, which gives it texture and a faint grip rather than overt fruit.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast chicken, grilled vegetables or a soft cheese. Drink over the next five years.
