Description

Grosset Gaia in the 1.5L magnum is a full-bodied Cabernet blend from the Clare Valley.

Jeffrey Grosset has made wine at Auburn since 1981 and is better known for Riesling, but Gaia comes from a single vineyard at around 570 metres in the hills above Clare, the highest site he farms. Cabernet Sauvignon leads with Cabernet Franc, grown organically on rocky ground, and the wine spends its time in French oak before release. Magnum slows the whole thing down.

Serve at 17 degrees with lamb, beef or hard cheese. Drink over the next twenty years.
